On March 7, the "'World Meets GZ' Series — 2025 Latin America Investment Promotion Conference" was successfully held at Guangzhou International Cooperation Center (GICC). The event received strong support from the Consulates General of 11 Latin American countries in Guangzhou, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela, as well as institutions such as CW CPA, Guangdong Manufacturing Association, Guangdong Medical Valley, etc. The event aimed to implement the key messages from President Xi Jinping's important speeches during his 2024 visits to Peru and Brazil, as well as the spirit of the provincial and municipal high-quality development conferences. By leveraging foreign affairs resources to serve enterprises in their efforts to expand globally, the event provided Guangzhou-based businesses with rich official investment information. It also established an efficient platform for communication and collaboration between governmental and business institutions in Guangzhou and the 11 Latin American Consulates General. Representatives from Guangzhou's governmental departments for commerce, investment, and trade promotion, along with representatives from enterprises such as China Southern Power Grid, GAC International, Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holdings Group, Guangzhou Public Transport Group, Haid Group,Creative Biosciences (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., and MINISO, as well as representatives from organizations like Comprehensive Service Base for Chinese Enterprises "Going Global" and Guangdong Federation of Commerce and Industry Entrepreneurs Association, attended the event. More than 140 participants took part in the event in total.
